Born on August 6, 2000, in Vienna, Manuel Plach is a passionate digital artist and entrepreneur, specializing in visual effects, compositing, and application development. He holds a master’s degree in Digital Art – Compositing from the Filmacademy Vienna and a bachelor’s degree in Media Technology from the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, combining a strong technical foundation with advanced artistic expertise.

Manuel is the founder and owner of Wings of Base, a creative company through which he offers professional visual effects services and innovative digital solutions. Under this brand, he combines his multidisciplinary skills to provide high-quality digital artistry, blending storytelling, technical precision, and creative problem-solving.

With over two years of professional experience as a compositor, Manuel has contributed to a variety of projects across film and digital media, gaining valuable hands-on experience both on set and in post-production. His work demonstrates a strong understanding of the full production pipeline, creating visually compelling and seamless imagery that enhances narrative and emotional impact.

In addition to his VFX and compositing work, Manuel is actively expanding into app development, designing and building his own applications alongside his visual effects services. This work allows him to merge creativity with technical skill, building interactive tools and digital experiences that are as functional as they are visually engaging.
